Clothes Design by dr. Dorota Sak (POLAND)

In 1985-1990 she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, in the Clothes design Studio of Professor Aleksandra Pukaczewska. Since 1990 she has been working at her alma mater. She runs the Clothes Forming Studio. In 2008 she received a post-doctoral degree (doctor habilitowany title) in the field of applied  arts.  In the years 1999-2002 she was a member of the Council of Higher Artistic Education at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. From 2012 to 2016 she was the Head of the Fashion Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. In 2014 she was a founder of the LOOK Gallery in the Fashion Promotion Centre in Łódź which she led until 2019. During this period, she organised 30 exhibition there. She has organised and participated in international conferences and art projects. In the years 2003-2010 she was a tutor in the scholarship programme of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage -  Gaude Polonia. In 2019 she received the title of a professor of fine arts. She has been collaborating with the Lviv National Academy of Arts where she implemented, among others, a project titled Symbols of Identity – Tradition and Modernity, and with the Vilnius Academy of Arts, where she conducted classes with students several times under the Erasmus + programme. She deals with fiber art, fashion design and painting. Her works have been presented at numerous individual and collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
